Create an item
Items are the main components of a menu. An item can come in multiple sizes (each one with its name and price), it can be assigned tax rates, allergen labels, lead times, display images, and more.
On the dashboard, click on menus.
Then click on my menus.
Select the menu you'd like to add an item to.
Once on the menu, select the section where you'll add the item.
Within the relevant section, click the blue circle with the plus sign to create a new item.
Input all the details about your item:
Item name.
Display name.
Description.
Tax group.
Tags.
Sizes.
Calories.
Click Done to save the item.
🤓Tip: You can also create items by going to Menus, then Items on your dashboard.
Making an item out of stock (86)
Setting an item to unavailable or out of stock.
From your dashboard, navigate to Menus > Items.
Search for the item you would like to mark as not available.
Hover over the three dots to the right of the item you would like to put out of stock.
Click on the icon saying Item Availability.
A pop-up box will appear of how long you want to make the item unavailable.
If you select any of the unavailable options, the item will appear to your customers as greyed out and shown as out of stock.
📌Note: If customers click on the item, they can see the options, but will not be able to add it to the basket.
Hiding an item (86)
How to set an item to invisible so it's no longer shown on the menu, and customers aren't able to order it.
From your dashboard, navigate to Menus > Items.
Search for the item you would like to mark as hidden.
Hover over the three dots to the right of the item.
Click on the icon saying Hide from menu.
You will get a green box saying "Item Saved" when successfully done.
📌Note: If an item is hidden, this will be shown by an eye with a line through it next to the name.
