We are carrying out a short, planned upgrade to the database platform that powers your kiosks. This keeps the platform on the latest fully supported and secure version. The work takes place overnight and will briefly pause kiosk ordering for a few minutes in each region. No action is needed from you, and no data is affected.
When
We are upgrading our UK and European environment and our US environment separately, on different nights, so we can focus on one region at a time.

We reserve up to one hour per region as a safety window, but the actual pause is expected to be only a few minutes.
What to expect
During the window, kiosk ordering will pause briefly while we complete the switchover. Once complete, service resumes automatically. You do not need to restart anything.
Do I need to do anything?
No. There is no action required. Your kiosks will come back online on their own once the upgrade is complete.
Is my data affected?
No. The upgrade uses a continuously synced copy of the database, and the switchover is transactionally consistent, so there is no data loss. The previous version is retained as an immediate fallback for a short period after the upgrade, so we can revert instantly if anything looks wrong.
Why we are doing this
The current version of our database software is reaching the end of its standard support period with our cloud provider. Upgrading to the current long-term support release keeps the platform secure, fully supported, and receiving ongoing security updates. We are doing this proactively and on a controlled schedule so that we can guarantee a clean switchover with an immediate fallback path.
